A weathered verandah in need of some tender loving care was the driving force for change by this Wonga Park homeowner. The existing decking material and supporting structure was ripped up and replaced with a select grade Merbau decking finish. To complete this design a new handrail and wire balustrade were introduced to modernise the entry of the home.  The benefit of using a wire balustrade is that it provides a safety barrier while preserving the views. A wide set of steps made from solid timber makes for a great entrance to the front door, welcoming any visitors to the home. A decking is complete with a coat of stain to enhance the colour and showcase the grain of the timber; our client chose to do this after the completion of the Ahead Building work.
